About Mia's Services
"I am a house sitter and dog walker based in Birmingham/ Solihull. If you are going away from home for just a few hours or over a week and you have pets that need taking care of, I am here to help! I can provide all of the care and attention your pet needs, as well as walks, food, grooming and potty breaks. You can relax knowing that your home and your pets are being taken care of and I will send regular updates to give you peace of mind.
I have taken and completed an online Dog Body Language cofourse (iPET Network Level 2 Award in Canine Body Language) which gives me a more in depth understanding of dog communication. As well as that I have taken a ‘Dog CPR, First Aid and safety’ course which means I will do everything I can to keep your pets happy and healthy! However, I will go to a vet if the issue is something I can't fix myself, so I always will request that you tell me your pets registered vet and the location in just case of emergencies.
I am willing to tend to the individual needs of every pet, if you have any specific requirements or needs please let me know beforehand and I will take it into account. I have worked with elderly pets, rescue dogs and puppies. I will need to know any medical needs your pet has, but also habits and specific routines. This is so I know what I am getting into so I can prepare ahead of time. To help me remember details I recommend that you fill out my Intake Form linked in my Linktree.
As I currently don't drive I will use Uber Pets to get me straight to the vets, or I recommend that you provide me emergency contacts of trustworthy neighbours/ friends who can drive. Please always feel free to contact me with any questions, and there is more info about booking, cancellations etc in my terms and conditions."
About Mia
"I'm 20 years old and from as early as I can remember I have had so much love for dogs, and animals in general. I grew up with very close with my family dog, a beautiful West Highland White Terrier called Molly. When she passed I very quickly realised that I couldn't imagine life without a dog at home, and now we have two little dogs (Olive and Ianto) who I couldn't love more.
As soon as I found out that people care for dogs for a living, I knew that I wanted to start as early as possible. I joined an app called Rover at the start of 2023, and quickly starting getting bookings! A few months in I realised that this could actually be a full time job and I started looking for ways to expand my knowledge so I could live up to my full potential. I joined online courses, met with lots of other pet professionals and used social media to advertise. In addition to all of that, I met the wonderful Hannah Molloy who is a qualified Animal Behaviourist. She coached me for 6 months and taught me everything I needed to know about canine care and running my own business. I wholeheartedly love my job and the animals I meet, and I hope to expand my business for many years to come.
If you want to find out more about me I post regularly on my Instagram and TikTok, both @miiaspets."
